I'm one of the officers named in the lawsuit. The State Police and he Highway Patrol do work well together. The New Hampshire Troopers Association just has a couple dozen "problem children" that are consumed by hatred for the Highway Patrol. They hold high level positions and are funding their private agendas with union money. Its the same song and dance routine they have been doing for several years, except this time they are targeting individual officers like me.
Officer Bowen: Thank you for taking the time to post a comment. As a resident of NH, it is good to know that on the whole the two agencies work well together. Please feel free to post any updates on the litigation.
If anyone is following this... it's now January 3rd, 2007 and the lawsuit is still on, although the media buzz has dropped off. The NHTA will not drop their ridiculous claims of trademark infringement. I have my fingers crossed for peace this year.
Much to my surprise, searches for "NH Highway Patrol" and the like bring in quite a bit of traffic to the blog. If anyone has any updates regarding the status of the litigation, please let us know.
